Mary's Fans

Daisy and I are very grateful to have people supporting us. Please watch them also in our movies here. First of all I want to thank my grandson Phil for realising this website. If you have any comments for him, please write to webmaster@mary-woodbridge.co.uk

It is utterly incomprehensible to me and my fans, but some companies have refused to sponsor us. Read about them further below.

These people are convinced that we will make it to the top of Mount Everest! You can also support us; click here.

Fantastic site about climbing. Daniel Vecchiato, Giovanni Cozzio and the whole crew are rooting for us!
x Jiri Sika and the people from www.lezec.cz are crossing fingers for us. Daisy and I are delighted about the very nice article.
x Hosts & Crew of Not The Dr. Phil Show would like to have as their guests once we are back from Everest.
x OUTDOORSmagic has published a charming article about Daisy and me and our expedition. Very nice indeed. Thank you!

"Unus pro omnibus, omnes pro uno" (one for all, all for one) is the motto of the Asian & Hong Kong Dachshund Society.

And Esta Overmars, Chairwoman & Founder of the society, wants to give us a welcome in Hong Kong after our successful attempt.

x Martin Joisten has written a very nice article about our expedition. Thank you for your wishes.
x Jerry Stemnock has an adorable website about Dachshunds.

And Daisy is now Dachshund of the month!
x The people at UKclimbing.com are behind us and believe in our success. Thank you for the mental support!
x Daniel M. Silverman has featured a very nice article about our expedition
x The guys from Trail Magazine have offered to sponsor stout boots and T-shirts for our expedition.
Thank you very much!
x What a lovely site!
x Ellis J Stewart wants to climb Mount Everest as well! What a shame he is not going before 2007, we could have gone all together.
If you want to see nice pictures of mountains (unfortunately Botley Hill and Everest are missing!) Peter Burn with his website is your man

Received refusals:

National Geographic (a particular pity!)

Dear Mrs. Woodbridge,

Thank you for your pre-application expressing interest in a grant from the National Geographic Society's Expeditions Council. We appreciate the opportunity to review your request for support for your project, "First Everest Expedition." While we understand the importance of your efforts, regretfully, we must decline participation.

The constraints of our budget, current editorial requirements, and the timing of each project limit us to supporting only a select number of projects each year.

I regret that we are unable to extend support. I do, however, wish you every success and hope you will be able to secure the funding you need for your endeavor.

Sincerely,

Angelica Das
Program Officer
Expeditions Council
National Geographic Society

Jack Wolfskin

Hallo,

thanks a lot for your interest to JACK WOLFSKIN.

I discussed your project with our management. Although the idea of sponsoring this event is very interesting, it is due to a lack of budget that we have to focus on our main sponsoring activities for the rest of this business year.

Sorry for not having better news in this matter.

 Best regards lots of success

JACK WOLFSKIN Service

Edelrid (Germany)

Dear Mrs. Woodbridge,

many thanks for your interest in being sponsored by EDELRID. I'm sorry to tell you that we can't sponsor you, as we only support German athlets.

Please contact our British distributor DB Outdoor Systems Ltd. who is in charge of the British sponsoring team. (I did, but they never answered!)
