Dear Mary: I fully support your plan and I am convinced that you will succeed. It takes to be British to realize that the fastest way between the valley and the top of any mountain is the straight line. How foolish all those before you who made large detours! Also, I realize that dachshunds are very underrated as far as their abilities. Take our teckel Pim, for example, who can speak but because of a small lisp is hindered from showing this to the outside world. As soon as you return from your trip my dog plans to visit Daisy and propose to her. Or, as he will say: plopoosssh. But the intention is the same.

Dear Mary, Do your kids have a motive to support you to do this trip? Do you intend to go climbing in that skirt? Can you please knit a nice jumper and socks for daisy? We are anxious to follow your attempt, and will be watching this website from now on! Kind regards, Nienke and Kitty

Don't forget to fit Daisy with one of those emergency liquor barrels like Saint Bernards wear! You never know when you might need a nip on the way up. Or you can fill it with tea and have a nice half-way tea break!
