dear mary, i heartily congratulate you on your endevour. I have one good tip. do not use nylon climbing ropes but strands of wool instead. they're almost as strong and, when you get to the top you can knit a nice sweater. Which might come in handy during the decent. It will be much colder then because it will be later in the day, and due to the higher speed and less exertion there is a higher risk of cooling down. If you take enough with you, you might even have some left for an extra little hat for daisy. this is a tip my grandmother gave me for my norhtpole expedition with my hamster aegir. he still lives owing to that advice. good luck to you both |

There are old climbers and there are bold climbers, but for some reason there are no old bold climbers.... From that I can only conclude that you ain't to bold and consequently have a good chance of succeeding. I'm looking forward to the pictures. (I hope you do take a camara with you) |
