A true inspiration! I am touched about your concern for the sherpas, possibly you could craft a small rucksack for Daisy - or take a sholley? The extra baggage space would make room for a foot spa - the only truly essential piece of equipment. Remember to take a large ball of string to unwind as you make your ascent, so you don't get lost on the way home like that stupid little Simpson boy, and also some sellotape for essential repairs. Show them what a woman in her prime can do - go, Mary - go! |

What Ho! Awfully pleased to see that a lady of sense and breeding will take a little bit of Englishness to the kind folks of Nepal. I found that I needed a little moisturiser than usual when on the higher slopes, bit of a keen breeze up there. Taking the pooch will certainly keep you warmer in your sleeping bag, or are you thinking of staying in tea houses all the way to the summit? Best of British |

Well done Mary! The true British spirit flows through yours and Daisy's veins. Don't forget to take a packamack and rain hood though as the weather can be awful above 20000 feet. There are some very attractive coats and hoods for Daisy too. |

Wow Mary what a wonderful plan.. I am certain you will make it.. climbing Everest requires grit and determination and not a little skill.. and at last someone who is prepared to go straight up instead of taking the simple easy route they all seem to have taken so far. My dogs have suggested that you take some nice meaty bones for Daisy to gnaw on en route.. they will keep fresh in the ice and snow.. .. erm hello all of u out there who are sceptical..hpow can anyone think this is a mere spoof..
