Mary, your website gave me the best laugh I've had in ages - THANK YOU!  you have a wonderful sense of humour! I'm the proud Mum of a black and tan miniature longhaired dachshund (so he's just like Daisy!) and he and I will enjoy following your progress - go Mary go! Please please make some more training videos for us!! As for tips, I don't know if this has already been suggested but I would suggest you take along a fold-up mountain bike to use for the descent. Some snow chains on the wheels, a basket in the front for Daisy, a pair of stabilisers for extra stability (in case there's a bit of a breeze up there or it gets a bit slippy) and a bicycle helmet each for the two of you and it would be fine! The ride may be a little bumpy on the way down and you'll need strong brakes, but it will be much faster and you'll be back at base camp in time for tea!
