I have never heard anything so ridiculous in my entire life.

Either you are insanely stupid and don't realise that for a woman of your age to conquer such a task is near impossible, let alone taking a dog with you.
Or, this site is a total hoax and a con in order to make a bit of money.

I suspect the latter.

Inspirational!!!!!! We need heroes like Daisy and Mary to put the GRRRREAT back into Great Britain. One question will you be entering the Olympics in 2012. You may as well put all that training to further use.

Keep up the hard work and we'll keep checking for progress reports.

Hi Mary and Daisy.
Bloody good show! I'm proud to know of this valiant attempt. If I was 58 years older I would join you.

I would love to donate one of those tartan dog coats for Daisy, handy if you want to stop for half an hour at the top, you can cool down quite a bit when your not moving. If you could let me know her size (measure from the collar to the base of the tail). If she ready has a tartan one or she has a favourite colour let me know.

Good luck and God speed.

Mary and Daisy, Hope your expedition planning is going to schedule. I'm sure all your fans would appreciate a movie update so we can all find out how the training is going. Are we going to see you buying equipment etc? I do hope so, we will all benefit from your expertise.

All the best!

Honestly:
Someone from Mary's Family needs some money and told her that it'll be a good idea to climb the everest. That may sound good to an 85 year old lady. Now "she" needs money to be able to afford this "experiment". Actually, I don't believe Mary ever saw this website or she really knows what's going on and for sure won't ever do a footstep onto the everest. It's just a try from a relative from her to make some money. That's all. And if this poor old lady really is trying to mount the everest (which I highly doubt), she would die within the first 50 Meters.

Mary, I´m sure you can make it, your training looks perfekt.
I´m a long distance runner and if you need some extra training I can give you and Daisy some good advice. I would recommend doing the swiss alpine marathon or an ironmen in advance ideally a week before the everes start.
So all the best for you and Daisy.

Hi Mary

Please don't underestaminate Mt. Everest, it's really a very hard pice! In your age, you should really see it from the sensible point of view and accept that you might not gonne make it. Everest is not ment to make fun of and with it!! Pleeez think twice!

Dearest Mary,
to me you've already reached the Mount Everest peak of humour. Forget the real one - and go on being the most exciting grandmother of the internet. Looking forward to your next adventure

Mary,
I have actually been to Everest. I belive it may be a lot harder than you think, tho I wish you the best of luck. I would be honoured to wave you goodbye from the airport, however, would be unable to greet you apon your return because dead bodies creep me out. A very good friend of mine is attempting the Mountain in the spring, im sure he would be happy for you to tag along, if you were prepared to ditch your oringinal plan and had a spare £50,000 under your matress. You can contact him at mountainmanrhys@hotmail.com
Good Luck, Besty, Southampton
P.S the kumjung bakery does a crackin apple pie, highly recommended.
