Mary--I am shocked the American grizzley bear "protector" Timothy T readwell is not listed as an idol of yours; the two of you share such a charming willingness to rail against the accepted way of doing things. Would love to sponsor you; am asking the CEO of my IP phone company if we can't donate a calling card for Phil to use in contacting the proper medical authorities prior to your departure; they may give you a new jacket! I hope you look good in white and can manage a leash from behind your back. Thanks Mary--this site made my week.. |

Dear Mrs. Woodbridge, when I heard about Your plans, my first reaction was: she must have lost her mind!. But after I've seen Your movies, I think You are indeed determined to do the climb, together with daisy! Too bad I'm unable to support You, since I myself am planning to cross the Southpole on ice-skates, together with my pet-bird. How about supporting me! Sincerely Yours. Karl from Germany |

For not suffering from dehydration on Mount Everest don't forget to drink a lot, 5 to 6 liters a day. Chang (sherpa beer) and Rakshi (sherpa whiskey) are strongly recommended. |

Having thoroughly examined both your training regime and the operational side of your expedition I have come to the conclusion that absolutely nothing could possibly, ever go wrong. Infact, whereas some people tend to make a bit of a mountain out of a mole hill when it comes to Everest, you have wisely seen through the "all the gear no idea" syndrome that many of our vertically preoccupied comrades seem to have. So all I can say is turn that mountain into a mole hill and then stamp on that mole, right between its eyes. |

Hi Mary! I think that the Hornbein couloir or the Messner couloir is more something for you and Daisy. I also wan't to sponsor you and lend you my mountaineering ski's (Dynastar Vertical) with a great Fritschi Diamir Ti binding on them, I guess this will make it easier for you on the return when you can ski down that super-Couloir (don't forget the shute!). Or do you prefer like the late Marco Sifredi a snowboard there? God, can't wait to see you couloir skiing. I also second your opinion about a direct route in one day instead of sleeping in all those uncosy camps while there is big accomodation at basecamp . You also have to know that the glas of water in wich your teeth are at night will freeze in such a tent..BTW just mail me for a free couloir ski initiation, I'll come over. That small rock on wich you climb will do. Godspeed to you and Daisy!, Your nr1 fan. Sven |
